Dr. Kraig D. Moore began his Medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he obtained a Degree in Medicine in 1992. Following graduation, he completed his internship in General Surgery at The Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He went on to an IRTA Fellowship at The National Institute of Mental Health of the NIH where he performed Investigations in Neural Transplantation for Parkinson’s Disease as well as Investigations in Pediatric Brain Tumors.
He was a resident in Neurological Surgery at The Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, successfully completed a year as chief resident in Neurological Surgery at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Manhattan.
He continued his studies in basic neuroscience research in the Center for Collaborative Neurosciences: The Spinal Cord Injury Project at Rutgers University of New Jersey, in the laboratory of Dr. Wise Young. Dr. Moore continued his postgraduate clinical training as junior medical staff at The Neuro-Oncology Branch of The National Cancer Institute of The NIH under the supervision of Howard A. Fine, MD. During his years of training, Dr. Moore managed over 700 patients with different types of tumors of the brain and spinal cord. He was an associate investigator on 12 clinical trials in patients with recurrent malignant brain tumors.
Since then, Dr. Moore has founded the Premier Brain Tumor Physicians and Wellness Center with the belief that no one should face a brain tumor alone. He is dedicated to educating people like you with information and guidance that will allow you to make the best decisions for your health care.
